T.R.O.P.I.C.S. Children’s Ministry (Ages 5-12) 

(Together Raising Our Praises In Christ our Savior)

 

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14 

 

T.R.O.P.I.C.S. is a place where we help kids come to know Christ. Our goal is to equip them for a journey with God. Our teaching staff has such a passion for the kids! We believe in forming a strong foundation; and this happens through our bible teachings, crafts, and singing, learning and playing games. 

The kids learn how to LOVE God, LIVE like Jesus, and also how to SHARE God’s love with others. 

Gems: Each kid will receive a gem bag with his or her name on it. Every Sunday the kids have a chance to “earn” gems. This is how it works: 

 

 Coming to church= 1 gem 

 Bringing their bible= 2 gem

 Praying= 1 gem 

 Knowing the verse of the month= 3 gems 

 

More gems can be given per teacher. Every 2 months the kids can “redeem” their gems…and trade them in for prizes. The kids absolutely LOVE this! 

 

 

 Verse of the month:

We have a “Verse of the Month”…the kids are given 

this verse. And throughout the month, we will randomly 

ask the kids if they know the verse of the month…and 

if they do, they receive 3 gems. We believe that this will 

help the kids meditate on the “Word”.

 

“SON”sational “SON”day:

One Sunday of the month we give the kids a “break” from the ordinary routine. We plan something fun and exciting for the kids, such as, pizza parties, movies, popcorn and candy, big parties with lots of fun games and so much more. With this, the kids just have a blast…the teachers do too!! “It truly is a blessing being a part of this church and this ministry. There truly is a heart of God here, and the love is just overflowing. The kids are such a blast, and I thank God everyday that they are in my life.”
